My name is Hannah and I am the founder of ‘The Wee Baker’. I am a solo baker specialising in bespoke cakes and cupcakes for all your special occasions, putting all my passion and devotion to designing delicious creations that look just as good as they taste.
I am currently a homebased baker located in Edinburgh, Scotland, just outside the city centre. I work with my customers to understand their vision and ideas to create the perfect cake with a lasting impression that customers will love.
As well as cakes, I turn my hand to other baked goods, such as brownies, and continue to try and test new bakes that will expand The Wee Bakers products in the near future.
OH, and I should mention everything is gluten free!
I started baking when I was at university and found a passion for it and loved creating delicious new treats that I could share with friends and family.
I continued to bake alongside full-time work and realised that being in the kitchen was where I got joy and wanted to pursue this career path.
Things took a slight turn when I was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease back in July 2021 and unsure what I was going to do realising I could never taste my own recipes!
However, I delved into gluten free baking and tried and tested recipes and decided to re-position my business as 100% gluten free.
I aim to prove that gluten free baking is just as tasty and flavourful, whether your coeliac, gluten intolerant or have no dietary requirements and just looking for a delicious treat, I want to create bakes and cakes that everyone can enjoy!
I am extremely grateful for all my customers so far that have supported my small business, and I am excited to continue to make cakes and bakes for existing and new customers in the future!
